The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and executing efficient trucking operations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
Truck Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for truck deployment to optimize routes and ensure timely deliveries.
- Plan for the efficient utilization of trucks, considering factors such as capacity, fuel efficiency, and delivery schedules.
Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely availability of trucks and negotiate favorable terms.
- Monitor vendor performance and address any issues to maintain a reliable supply chain.
Route Scheduling:
- Schedule daily and weekly routes for trucks to meet customer demands.
- Optimize routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Cost Monitoring:
- Monitor and report on transportation costs, identifying areas for cost optimization.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
Coordination with Customer Support and Operations Team:
- Collaborate with customer support and operations teams to ensure seamless coordination in trucking operations.
- Communicate proactively with internal teams to address any challenges or changes in operations.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain organized records of vehicles, schedules, and completed orders.
- Implement and utilize systems for efficient data management.
Driver Management:
- Address driver-related issues promptly and professionally.
- Oversee driver scheduling, performance, and compliance with safety regulations.
Vehicle Tracking:
- Implement and manage vehicle tracking systems to monitor truck movements in real-time.
- Ensure adherence to planned routes and schedules.
Advance/Toll/Diesel Planning:
- Coordinate with the finance team for advance, toll, and diesel planning.
- Optimize spending on fuel and tolls to reduce overall transportation costs.
End-to-End Trucking Operations:
- Oversee and manage the entire trucking operation from planning to execution, ensuring a seamless process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in trucking operations and logistics management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using logistics management software.
